Requests to cloud server that requires host header

(related to Akamai message from before-- but I have better troubleshooting information). I'm tying to route traffic through stunnel to a "cloud" based-endpoint. That endpoint has a static server name-- test.authorize.net. (This is the dev sandbox for auth.net). But if you do an nslookup on test.authorize.net, you'll get back a different servername and IP, because it's so wonderfully "cloud". Stunnel apparently tries to connect to the nslookup value. The server rejects the request because it can't route it back to test.authorize.net. I've tried adding "delay = yes" and "sni = test.authorize.net", but neither work. To see this in action, a simple setup with any accept, then connect to test.authorize.net:443 in client = yes mode. This is what a valid response looks like (13 -- give me the darn merchant ID in a POST): https://test.authorize.net/gateway/transact.dll This is what you'll get if you try to use stunnel (400 invalid url) : https://23.195.204.150/gateway/transact.dll So how can I get stunnel to send the proper Request Header (host: test.authorize.net), make sure it's using http/1.1, etc?

Stunnel 4 failing to connect to gmail

I am faling to connect to gmail. Stunnel & Gmail security

Hi all, To make "Stunnel 5.31" work with Gmail, I have to go in security settings of Gmail and "allow less secure apps to access my account". Is it mandatory ? Is it possible to set Stunnel to access Gmail without lowering it security level ? How ? I checked in log file TLS v1.2 is used by Stunnel but Gmail still consider it as a "less secure app." ! Stunnel 5.43 problem

When running stunnel 5.43 on Linux 4.14 (arm), accept = port only listens on 127.0.0.1:port. I don't know if other operating systems are affected. Carter

It would be nice to know whether it is actually possible to achieve this with stunnel. If not, is there any other tool I could use or combine? Ubuntu 16.04 problem

I have a very confusing problem with stunnel on Ubuntu. I have a configuration file that I have used in both Windows and Arch Linux. In the Arch version, I use a single file with all the certificates for the partner systems, in the Windows version I use a capath directory. I have tried both here and I always get the response "tlsv1 alert unknown ca". The beginning of the stunnel.conf file is below. Any hints would be appreciated. Possible stunnel 5.43 bug ?

Hello, I use stunnel on FreeBSD 11.1. I install it from ports. Yesterday I updated to stunnel 5.43. However it stopped working. I investigated the problem and found the issue- instead on all network interfaces, "accept" listens on 127.0.0.1 : sockstat -4 USER COMMAND PID FD PROTO LOCAL ADDRESS FOREIGN ADDRESS stunnel stunnel 43945 7 tcp4 127.0.0.1:2222 *:* stunnel stunnel 43945 8 tcp4 127.0.0.1:3128 *:* stunnel stunnel 43945 9 tcp4 127.0.0.1:8080 *:* stunnel stunnel 43945 10 tcp4 127.0.0.1:1616 *:* A workaround is to modify "accept = 0.0.0.0:3128" explicitly to listen on 0.0.0.0. Consider scenario below: Server A ==TLS==> Server B ==TLS+2WayAuth==> Server C Server A needs to connect to Server C through Server B which runs Stunnel. Server C requires 2-way authentication. I have full control over Server A and Server B and Server C belongs to a third-party. What does Stunnel config should look like?
