Not at all. Stunnel is not a smtp proxy: it does not deal with applicative protocols in general (higher than level 3 osi, ie tcp/ip).
But it can be used, implemented both at the server side AND client side, to tunnel SMTP traffic in SSL tunnel , thus emulating "SMTPS".
