I found it after looking once more in the log file.
PSK client configured for identity "user2"
(the identity in the secrets.txt is user2:secretkey, somehow those three weird characters are added on windows) I got around it by copying the secrets.txt file to the server so that the secrets.txt on the server also begins with
"user2" but I suspect it's a bug.
