I think it stunnel wants to say “I tried to read this line as a ‘<name>=<value>’ line, but did not find the equal sign”.
Do you really have backslashes in front of ‘[’ and ‘]’ in your configuration file? This may be the reason stunnel does not recognize this line as a section header ...
