Yeah, I know, but with 30 or 40 key packages in the application it's a lot easier to use the distributor patching system than keep track of all the developers' releases. Having said that, I've been bitten on the bum more than once by the distributor supplying code with non-standard patches.
Just disable Nagle Algorithm in your stunnel.conf file with: socket = l:TCP_NODELAY=1 socket = r:TCP_NODELAY=1
This helped a lot - thanks.
Actually a pattern seems to be emerging - it's more reliable/less latency/more bandwidth at *different times of day* so it looks like something else is going on.
