It looks like there is a known issue with FIPS running on Windows 7 from the mail archives. Is there something I could do to help get this fixed? I was planning on using stunnel to allow a FIPS compliant transmission of data over the wire.
Win7 - 32bit Output - From the console window:
stunnel 4.49 on x86-pc-mingw32-gnu platform
Compiled/running with OpenSSL 0.9.8r-fips 8 Feb 2011
Threading:WIN32 SSL:ENGINE,FIPS Auth:none Sockets:SELECT,IPv6
Reading configuration from file stunnel.conf
FIPS_mode_set: 2D06906E: error:2D06906E:FIPS routines:FIPS_CHECK_INCORE_FINGERPRINT:fingerprint does not match

I just found a solution: http://www.mail-archive.com/openssl-dev@openssl.org/msg28350.html
... and a clear root cause analysis: http://www.mail-archive.com/openssl-dev@openssl.org/msg28351.html
At this stage the best you can do is to send a PayPal donation, so I can allocate more of my time on stunnel. 8-) http://www.stunnel.org/
